Construction zone crash injures one

LITCHFIELD –  A three-vehicle crash Wednesday in a construction zone in Meeker County sent one woman to the hospital.

The accident was reported at 10:45 a.m. on state Highway 22 and 300th Street, north of Litchfield.

According to the State Patrol, a 2002 Buick LeSabre, driven by Orwynn Lee Miller, 19, of Jerico Springs, Missouri and a 2013 Toyota Highlander driven by Patrick Thomas Cleary, 66, of Spicer, were stopped by a flag person in a construction zone.

A 2018 Ford Focus, driven by Judith Marie Groskreutz, 66, of Litchfield, rear-ended the Toyota Highlander, which then struck the Buick LeSabre in a chain-reaction crash.

Groskreutz was transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

The other two drivers were not injured.
